Recovering entrepreneur / SVP Strategic Growth at Valtech

The short story:
I co-founded an "internet" company in 1995, grew this for 23 years and sold to Valtech in 2017. Since then, I've driven North American acquisitions for the firm. I've been on both sides of the buy / sell table. I recently shared this perspective on Built to Sell radio and it drove good numbers.

The slightly longer story:
Over the 23 years of Nonlinear Creations existence, we evolved from a 3 person custom HTML shop to 100+ Sitecore specialists with operations in Canada, the US, Brazil and the UK. Lots of adventures ensued along the way, including spinning off a software company that raised capital and died gloriously during the .com boom.

In 2016, we thought the time was right to explore an exit. My business partner ran the firm while I selected an M&A broker and worked through a formal process. Valtech proved to be a good match culturally. I've stayed with the firm, moving through several roles and today my primary responsibilities include identifying prospective acquisitions, framing up business cases for the acquisition and working through operational due diligence.
